Pernod Absinthe 68 0.7L is a classic absinthe from France, originating from the historic Pernod brand that produced one of the first commercial absinthes. This absinthe is distilled with a blend of botanical ingredients such as wormwood, anise and fennel, resulting in a complex aroma in which herbs, licorice and bitter notes come together.
The drink is bottled at 68% alcohol by volume, which makes it very powerful and typical of absinthes that are traditionally drunk with cold water. By adding water slowly — often via an absinthe spoon with a sugar cube — the characteristic louche‑trübung (milky cloudiness) is created and the aromatic components of the vegetable extracts open up.
