Hennessy VSOP 1L is a classic cognac from the Cognac region of France produced by Maison Hennessy, one of the oldest and most recognized cognac houses in the world. The designation VSOP (“Very Superior Old Pale”) means that the youngest component in the blend has matured for at least four years in French oak barrels, but in practice the blend often contains eaux-de-vie that have matured considerably longer.
This cognac consists of a mix of more than sixty selected eaux-de-vie from different crus from the Cognac region. By maturing in French oak barrels, Hennessy VSOP develops a deep amber color and a complex aroma profile with notes of apricot, ripe fruit, vanilla, honey, warm spices and subtle oak influences come together. The taste is smooth, balanced and elegant, with a warm and long finish.
Hennessy VSOP 1L can be drink neat in a tulip or cognac glass, with a little water or ice to further open the aromas. In addition, it is a popular base for luxury cocktails in which cognac plays the leading role.
