Havana Club Selección de Maestros 0.7L is a Cuban premium rum produced by Havana Club International and is part of their Icónica collection. This rum is the result of an annual collaboration of the Maestros del Ron Cubano (rum masters) who select the best aged rums from the stock, blend them, and then allow them to age again in carefully chosen oak barrels, which contributes to extra complexity and character.
The rum has a warm amber color with a deep red glow and a intense, aromatic profile. On the nose, there are notes of roasted pecans, spices, and oak, while the taste palette is well-rounded and complex with hints of cocoa, coffee, sweet tobacco, and brown spices, complemented by an elegant smoky wood finish and hints of candied fruit. The finish is long and balanced with a soft but pronounced spiciness.
This rum, often seen as one of the higher-end releases of Havana Club, is traditionally served neat in a rum glass at room temperature or with a few drops of water to better bring out the diverse aromas.
