Goslings Black Seal Rum 0.7L is a traditional dark rum that originates from Gosling Brothers in Bermuda, a brand with a long history in rum production. The name Black Seal refers to the original black wax seals that sealed the bottles when the product was first sold. The rum is composed as a blend of rums from different distillation styles — such as pot still and continuous still — which are then matured together in charred American oak bourbon barrels. This results in a deep color and a rich flavor profile.
The flavor profile is full and aromatic, with sweet notes of caramel, vanilla and butterscotch, supported by hints of dried fruit, herbs and molasses. The rum has a full body and a balanced aftertaste. Due to its characteristic taste, Black Seal Rum is a key ingredient in the Dark ‘n Stormy cocktail, for which it is the registered rum, but it also works well in other mixed drinks or neat or on ice.
