Description

Glenlivet French Oak 15 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky produced by The Glenlivet Distillery in Scotland, a distillery with a long tradition within the single malt world. This 15-year-old whiskey undergoes its first maturation in used bourbon barrels and then receives a partial finishing (finish) in new Limousin-French oak barrels, similar barrels to those used in the cognac industry. The French oak contributes to extra spiciness and depth in the final profile of the whisky.

The whiskey has a golden amber color and often opens with aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla, toffee and light herbs. On the palette notes of mango, nuts, light cinnamon and toffee can return, with a warm, fruity and spicy aftertaste in which the influence of the Limousin oak remains recognizable. This combination of maturation and finish results in a complex but balanced profile, showing both the classic Speyside style and a refined oak influence.

Glenlivet French Oak 15 Year is intended for enthusiasts looking for a ripe, elegant single malt with subtly fruity and slightly spicy characteristics, and can be pure, with a drop of water or in whiskey cocktails can be enjoyed depending on preference.
