Description

Glenfiddich 15 Years Solera Reserve 0.7L is a premium single malt whisky from the Glenfiddich distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. This whiskey goes through a unique production method in which the distillate is first matured in three types of casks (ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and new oak), and then brought together in a permanently filled Solera barrel, a large oak barrel that is never completely emptied. This retains some of previous barrel contents and contributes to consistency, depth and complexity of the taste.

The whiskey often offers aromas and flavors such as honey, vanilla, dried fruit, spices, light notes of sherry and subtle spiciness, with a medium to full body and a supple, rich structure. The combination of different barrels and the solera marriage creates a whiskey with a balance between sweetness, fruity notes and warmth. It is usually drunk pure, with a few drops of water or with ice to open the aromatic layers.
