Disaronno Originale 1L is a classic liqueur from Saronno, Lombardy, Italy, which is considered one of the most famous Italian liqueurs worldwide. The product was originally called “Amaretto di Saronno” and was introduced around 1525, with a secret recipe that combines traditional ingredients such as apricot kernel oil with alcohol, sugar and selected herbs and fruit essences to create its distinctive flavor profile.
The liqueur has a deep amber hue and a flavor profile often described as sweet and warm, with aromas of almond-like notes, vanilla, caramel and light spiciness. Despite the almond-like taste, Disaronno itself officially contains no nuts: the characteristic almond flavor mainly comes from apricot kernel oil in the recipe.
Disaronno Originale is versatile: it can be drink directly, served on ice or processed into countless cocktails such as the Disaronno Sour and the Godfather, but is also used in mixed drinks and dessert preparations.
