Description
Courvoisier XO 0.7L is a premium cognac from the Cognac region of France, produced by Maison Courvoisier, one of the historically important cognac houses. The XO classification means that the eaux-de-vie used in the blend have been aged for a long time, typically between 11 and 25 years, mainly from the crus Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Borderies.
The color of this cognac is usually dark amber or mahogany, and the aroma and flavor profile is very layered and complex. In aroma and taste, often appear ripe fruit, dried fruits, vanilla, crème brûlée notes, light spices, flowers and soft oak notes; the finish is typically long and elegant.
Courvoisier XO is traditionally drunk neat (possibly slightly chilled or with a drop of water) so that the complex aromas and subtle nuance can best come to their full expression, but it can also serve as a base for classic cognac cocktails.
