Colbert Napoleon Brandy 0.7L is a VSOP brandy from France, often also referred to as Napoleon Colbert VSOP Brandy, produced according to traditional methods using controlled matured brandy distillates for a longer period of time in oak barrels are aged to develop more complex aromas and a soft, rounded taste. The designation VSOP indicates that the youngest component of the blend has matured in barrel for at least several years, resulting in a rich, balanced and accessible profile.
The brandy generally has an amber color with golden reflections and an aroma of dried fruit, vanilla, caramel and light spices, supported by oak notes from the barrel aging. On the palette the flavors open into fruity and sweet notes, which turns into a soft, warm and relatively long finish with hints of honey and nuts. Colbert Napoleon is suitable for drinking directly, with a large ice cube or in classic brandy cocktails such as a Sidecar or Brandy Alexander.
